While Dad was in flight to Utah...

were the boys cooking dinner???

Before I get reported, of course the stove was not on and the knobs are covered. Although, I don't think they know how to turn them on anyway.

What delicious food were they cooking?? (on a cold fire)

Some water mixed with a little oil and apple cider vinegar! (3 liquids sitting next to the stove)
It wasn't tasty, but smelled yummy!

Every kitchen utensil and baby spoon was used to make this dinner!

Happy Easter...

The boys had an exciting Easter morning.  All they wanted from the Easter bunny, besides a good egg hunt, were Hershey bars.  We even wrote the bunny a note several weeks ago asking for Hershey bars.  The bunny obviously got the note!!  Saturday at breakfast, Jaeden told us, "I hope he (the easter bunny) doesn't hide the eggs in the same place as last year."  I then asked if he remembered where the eggs were hidden last year, and he then proceeded to tell and show me where several eggs were last year.  Who knows where the eggs were last year, but I know some of the places he mentioned were definitely correct.  If I only had 1/2 of Jaeden's memory!!  We went to celebrate Easter in Beaumont with some of my mom's family.  The boys had a blast and did not want to leave.
Since I had a shortage of Easter pics, we took some fun pics in front of our beautiful flowers in celebration of the Cleveland Indians first game (Jayce and Jaxon are showing their support, although the Indian is hard to see) Unfortunately, it looks like they are going to need lots of help this year!!
I will never manage to capture a good pic of all three. Jayce was being goofy and insisted that his hand should be on his chin.  I don't know what he's ever thinking!!

This was the last attempt with "say chuck e cheese"

Two big accomplishments of late:
1. Jayce has FINALLY decided to be a big boy and use the potty after over 6 months of trying.  3 days and no accidents!!!  Bribery really works.  I've tried everything! He really wanted this pink/purple soccer ball when he went with Jaeden to get his.  Well, that's all he talks about, so I promised him the ball if he went 1 week without accidents!!! It's a miracle!
2.  Jaxon FINALLY rolled over from back to belly.  He's been super close forever, but it happened today when no one was looking.

Jaeden's playing Soccer

Jaeden is so excited about playing Soccer! His games start in 2 weeks, but he can't wait.  He's been practicing almost every night in the living room of course!  Last night Joel took him to get a ball and shin guards that he will need.  He was so proud to have his new soccer toys!!
Jayce was just as excited, and since he didn't get to pick out a ball, as our resident goof ball he found his own toy!

Yes that's the box the soccer ball came in.
He was walking around saying "hello, hello" in his crazy, goofy voice.

Jaxon's 5 months

Well, he's almost 5.5 months, but I'm finally getting around to blogging.  Jaxon is still not rolling, except the occasional belly to back.  He's just like his brothers.  He is a lot like Jaeden in that he's always trying to sit up, esp when in his car seat. He rides in the car with his head and shoulders up, instead of just relaxing and lying back.  Jaeden's the only baby that I've ever seen do sit ups. When he was around 7 months, he would just sit straight up when we laid him down on the floor or in his crib.  He much preferred sit ups v. rolling over and then pushing to sit.  Jaxon is like Jayce in that he's starting early to inch across the floor. He's not crawling yet, but he does move forward and in circles when on his belly.
Jaxon loves to laugh and smile. His laugh is so sweet. He loves laughing at Jaeden and Jayce when they are being goofy. Or he laughs when be tickled. One of his favorite places is on the changing table. I'm not sure why, but he's instant grins and laughs when we put him there.
He's always chomping those fingers!!

Our lazy afternoon...

Since it rained all morning, they couldn't go outside to play, so I occupied their time with painting....

They use the paper some, but love to paint their hands and bodies.  It's somewhat messy, but the only activity they will sit and do for almost an hour!!
Too young for painting, but enjoys chomping his fingers!!

Free Sandbox!!!

So about 2 weeks ago, the electric company dropped off a new electric pole that was to replace the old one in our backyard.  The boys enjoyed using it as a bench. Then after all that time waiting to see when they were going to come back, they come shortly before leaving for preschool, which made it even harder to get them out the door!!  What little boy doesn't want to watch a big machine dig a hole in their own backyard?? Unfortunately, they pretty much missed everything, as they were gone when we arrived back home from school.

But the good news....a free sandbox!!! All that recently dug up dirt and a new pole...all they needed where shovels and hammers and instant fun!! They were outside the next morning at 7:45am - which never happens around here!!

Maybe we won't have to buy more sand for their sandbox afterall!!

Western Day!!

In these parts of the country, everyone has a Go Texan Day!! (Mar 2 - texas independence day) or a Western day to celebrate the start of the Houston Rodeo!!!  Last week the boys got to dress western style for preschool. They even enjoyed some barrel races while riding stick horses.  Jayce was a natural, and the only one that galloped.  That Christmas horse from Grandma Junie has obviously had lots of use!!

Jaeden was not interested in taking pics before school!!

Jayce was more than willing, but would not put down his new St. Patrick's rubber ducky!!

Jax was also dressed for the occasion!

My favorite pic, Jayce with what I think is Papa Herman Mittelstaedt's hat.

One guess for: where's the TV??

3 boys + 1 photographer =  NO GOOD PICS
