Jaxon's 11 months...

and he's finally started walking!!  As mentioned in last months post, I had predicted he would be walking before 11 months.  He's been taking 3-5 steps alone for almost a month, but I was getting worried my prediction wouldn't come true.  However, on Monday he finally really "let go" and started walking!!  He's doing great now.  He's still not really saying anything. I think he tries to say or sign "down" which we say for getting out of the high chair when he's all done eating. He still loves to say Da and occasionally will say Ma.
So far, Jaxon was the last one to move/crawl and the first one to walk.  Jayce took his first solo steps 4 days before he turned 11 months, Jax started walking 4 days before he turned 11 months!!

Jaxon's 10 months!!

Wow, I can't believe how fast he is growing up.  Jaxon is into everything these days.  He can stand alone, but if he realizes he's not holding on to something he instantly sits down or reaches for something to hold. He's taken one or two steps without holding on.  I assume he'll be walking everywhere before he's 11 months.  He crawls, but does not have the speed the other two had when crawling.  He started signing 'more' over the last month, which has helped to decrease his insistent screaming, which was his first method of communicating 'want' or 'need' something.  My ears greatly appreciate his ability to sign.  He's still a super happy baby and loves to play with his brothers. He also loves to give kisses. Jaxon is loved by his brothers. Jaeden still says frequently "I want to keep Jaxon."  I always tell him Jaxon's not going anywhere. I never posted Jaxon's stats from his 9 month visit.  He was 30" still 95% for height and 20 lbs 2 oz.  He's finally slimming down some - 40% for weight.

The second group of bruises from Jaxon insisting that my shoulder was for teething!!  The first bruise was much worse. I'm just glad his teething has slowed a bit.

"I Like to Look for Rainbows"

Last week, we had my cousin Whitney come stay with us for 5 days.  The boys (including Joel)  had a blast.  They love having a friend to play with, and Joel loves having someone else to play video games with, since I will only play for a few minutes.  On our drive home from dropping Whitney off, my mom and I saw 2 rainbows!  It was an amazing sight, and reminded me of one of my favorite Primary songs.  It's very hard to see but the second rainbow arcs above the obvious one, and you can maybe see it in the first picture.

I guess we didn't get out the camera while Whit was here, except at Chuck E Cheese. She's in the black shirt, Zach, Jayce, Jaeden and grandma Junie are all helping to win the game.

When regular fighting gets to easy....

Every evening the boys love to wrestle and play-fight.  Last week they decided things were getting too easy, and they needed a challenge.  Not really, but this is how they decided to go at it...

Jaxon's 9 months!!

Jaxon's turned 9 months with the CHICKEN POX!!  Yes, the chicken pox.  Everyone remembers having them as a kid, but the vaccines been around for almost 15 years, so it's pretty rare now. So, where did they come from??  Well, sad to say, it was from me.  For whatever reason, I had a mild case of shingles (which is a re-activation of having chicken pox earlier in life) about one month ago.  The only benefit is that I've saved him from 2 shots. 
Anyways, Jaxon still loves to stand and is cruising around the couch and table regularly. He occasionally tries to stand alone, but it's very brief. 
Jaxon's saying lots of sounds and is saying 'Mama'.  He likes to babble mamamama, but is also starting to connect it with me.   Finally, the third child says Mama before dada :)

Jaxon's Standing

Once Jaxon decided it was time to move, he did everything at once - belly crawl, pull to stand and cruise.  He's still working to improve it all, but he's moving more and more.  I tried to get a few pics with him standing, but most turned out very blurry!  It's hard to take a picture and try to make sure your baby doesn't fall flat on his face.  He actually turned himself around so that he was leaning on the fireplace.

Of course, once I solved the blur factor, he would not look at me or smile!!

Jayce's Slogan

As mentioned in previous posts, Jayce is our resident menace. His favorite saying lately is "You fix it! We break it!!"  Yes, it sounds like Handy Manny (which they rarely watch).  But he loves to destroy things and make things fall apart. I'm not sure how he came up with this backwards saying, but it makes me laugh.
