Legoland continued...

They had fun on the kiddie size log flume, luckily you really don't get wet, since I also had to ride this one.
Pictures really do say 1,000 words.  Above Jaeden is smiling, you can see Jayce to the side stomping in anger.  Because Jaeden would not let him in there at the same time. Hence, Jayce is 'no smiles' for his lego-shark picture!

They each drove their own car around the race track.  They were by far the best drivers.  We were even impressed how well Jayce drove.  Jaeden's an expert from driving his Ford Truck at home, but Jayce is horrible when driving their truck around in the backyard.  So, not sure where his sudden skills came from.
The funniest thing Jayce did came shortly after this ride. I asked him if he needed to go potty and he said yes, then just pulled his pants and underwear down right in the middle of the path. Luckily Joel saw him, pulled up his pants and ran him to the bathroom. Fortunately, there's been no accidents. He's been potty trained for one month, but right before we left he started having lots of accidents.

Our "first" Family Trip

So, we finally made it out to San Diego/Carlsbad, CA.  We planned our trip right after Jaxon was born, and Jaeden's been counting the months and days til we arrived.  We arrived Sunday after a 3 hour flight and 1.5 hour car trip.  All the boys traveled very well. I don't think Jaxon made a single peep on the flight.  He did sleep through take off and landing, both naps totaling no more than 40 mins, and was wide awake the rest of the trip!  Jaxon's naps are getting shorter and shorter!!

(of course, all the letters are made from legos)
The whole excitement for coming to San Diego was to go to Legoland, so of course our first day was spent from open to close at Legoland. The boys had a blast, and were able to ride everything. Most things they rode 2 and 3 times.  Joel and the boys had already looked at the park online and knew which rides they wanted first.  Of course, their favorite was 'The Royal Joust'.

Jaeden insisted on only riding this green one. We were a little worried that Jayce would not be able to ride.  The height said 36" (Jayce is 37-38"), but you are suppose to be 4 years old. So, Joel coached the boys. Jayce learned that he was 4, and Jaeden said he was 5.  So maybe there was a little lying, but we didn't have to hold a screaming Jayce.  When they asked Jayce "how old are you?", he said 4 without a problem. We wouldn't have let him on, if we really thought there would be a problem. I think they each rode a minimum of 5 times, and of course absolutely loved it.  Each time, Jayce got off, he said, "I didn't fall of the horse!" Below a picture of the rival Black Knight!

One of the favorite areas was the pirate village.  They loved this pirate boat where they shot water and water was shot and sprayed at them.  They got fairly wet!!

Pictures of Miniland USA - all from legos. One of the best lines of the day came from Jaeden.  We were walking through miniland, and they have statues/busts of famous people.  I said these are presidents - the first 3 were at least - washington, lincoln etc. Jaeden said, "Where's President Monson?" Joel and I started laughing, because of course, Jaeden only thinks of Pres. related to the church. He has no clue about the US government.

Predators

So I finally caught a picture of our backyard predator.  We see it about once a week, but this was my first opportunity to capture it's picture.

Yes, it's a hawk.  I saw it fly through our yard 5 feet off the ground earlier this afternoon, and then I happened to look out our back door tonight, and it was sitting there perfectly, begging me to take it's picture. I didn't even have to ask him to center himself perfectly between the two trees.

Where the brothers meet to play

This is a very common occurrence at our house.  When they hear that Jaxon's awake, they run to greet him. It's very helpful since they keep him happy and content for awhile before I go to rescue the little guy.

Also, Jaxon's finally cut his first tooth (on the bottom)!!
