Last Day of Preschool!!

The boys were very excited about their last day. They always end with Splash day - they have lots of water activities outside, and they get to wear their swimsuits!  Jaeden is most excited because he's now a Kindergartner. On the way home from school we were discussing the last day of school, and Jayce asked, "When's the last day of church?"  My answer was "When Jesus comes."  He responded with "He's already come" (meaning of course the resurrection). Well Jayce, for now there is no end of church!!

Sunday we went to look at the house again, and when we walked out the boys told us, "We're making sand angels!"  Not much to do when they are already laying in the sand!

This week at the Jorgensen home

1. We are desperate for rain in Houston! And my boys love that the sprinklers are frequently on...

Loves getting to play with an umbrella, Hates getting wet!!! He still screams every time we wash his hair!

Finally, getting to use our Star Wars umbrellas!!!

2.  I'm not a fan of posting belly pics, but it seems to be a trend on all the other blogs I read. So me at 24 weeks. People I see regularly still come up to me saying "I didn't know you were pregnant" even happened today, and that always makes me happy!!

3. Made my first trip to the cannery, so we are now stocked on powdered milk, rice and apples slices. Can't wait to move so I can really expand our food storage. Not sure where these 18 cans are going to be the next 2 months, they may stay in our living room :(

4. Jaeden had his first cavity free Dentist trip!!!!  Finally :) Jayce only had one tiny cavity, which was fixed the same day :))

5.  I'm constantly amazed at what the boys find to use as weapons, why I'm still surprised not sure as I realize it will never change.  Since I never answered the last blog posted question, which was cell phone as 98% answered correctly. My next question will be what wasn't used this week as a gun or sword....

  a.  decorative "stuffed" flower           f.  mini lego lightsabers
  b.  fruit roll-up                                    g. 2 toothbrushes
  c.  short closet rods                           h. small broom
  d.  half of a femur bone                      i.  plastic or real bananas
  e. whistle stick (thanks, Aunt Mandy) j.  toy flags

This list is definitely more tricky, but there is ONE and ONLY ONE item that has never been used as a weapon by any of the 3 boys!! I guess it's just how they're wired!!

Current Obsessions....

The boys' obsessions change, rather it's weekly or monthly. Some never go away like Star Wars, Power Rangers. It amazes me how they can talk about almost every Star Wars character and know how he/she interacts with all the other characters; I will never be that knowledgeable!

Jaeden -
1. He loves playing 'pet vampire'  Not sure where he got that idea, but Jayce is the owner, and Jaeden is the pet.  They love drinking blood aka cranapple juice! And they build a cage with blankets and pillows on the bottom bunk bed.
2. Green - anything and everything must be green!!!!

Jayce -

1. Now that he's almost 4, he's aspiring to grow up to be a monkey! Yes, a monkey!!! He's been telling me that for the past few days. Hopefully, this will pass quickly. He would be a great monkey, considering he loves to climb and jump on everything!!! It's obviously his favorite animal, but most people don't want to BE their favorite animal!!! This kid always has us laughing.

2. He loves jumping. Was that already mentioned? He would rather jump across the floor than walk. There's NOTHING, but maybe the kitchen table, he hasn't jumped on or over in our house! If it's on the floor, big or small, he'll jump over it, including us, jax's rocking horse and everything else. He has amazing heighth on his jumps too!! At this rate, he'll make a great hurdler!

Jaxon -
1. Dora, Dora, Dora the Explorer!!!! Yes, we have started Dora - round 3. Jaxon never had a chance to even watch dora until about 2 weeks ago. Right after he was born, Jaeden had just turned 4 and decided he was too old for Dora! So very little Dora has been watched in the last 18 months, which was a nice break. Fortunately, I don't really mind watching or hearing Dora frequently compared to some kid shows! Jaxon is finally saying lots and loves to repeat Dora words - backpack, map, swiper....

2. He loves "Jesus wants me for a sunbeam" and "Popcorn popping on the apricot tree." We've always sang a few songs after scriptures each night. But now, when we sit down for scripture time, Jaxon instantly starts signing "more, more, more" and we can barely get through our 10 minutes of scriptures before singing his songs!!! He of course loves to jump and sing "beam," and he's very good at saying and signing "popcorn" It's hilarious!!!!

Pictures are from Snake Day, after preschool a few weeks ago. You can see who has no fear!!

T-ball

I'm so behind on blogging!!! I really don't know how some of you (Emily) blog every day!!! I'm definitely not a morning person, so getting up and blogging is never gonna happen in my life!! Jaeden's been playing T-ball the last 2 months, and all 3 boys have loved practicing batting. Jaeden has his last 2 games this weekend. Jaeden's improved lots with throwing and hitting, and he understands most of the rules. T-ball's very relaxed, and if someone gets out (which is rare) they don't always go back to the dugout.

The Mets

The boys...
Jayce will get to play in the fall as well. He unfortunately missed the bday cutoff by 2 weeks.

Jaxon likes Tball more than the other 2 -
Not even 18 months (in the video) and he's already switch hitting! :)

yes our living room typically looks like this at the end of the day!  Jaxon is rarely only in a diaper (especially one that obviously needs changing), but he was playing Tball while we ate dinner, and we enjoy those few moments of eating without him climbing on us!!
